Raphael Chaskalson

Raphael Chaskalson is a climate finance expert living and working in London, and the Director of Carbon Markets and Special Projects at the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net-Zero (GFANZ). GFANZ is the largest alliance of net-zero aligned financial institutions in the world, with over 700 net-zero committed firms covering almost half of global financial assets. Although GFANZ continues to play a convening role to address issues in the global carbon market, Raphael writes strictly in his personal capacity. Raphael was S’gan Mazkir Klali of HSDA in 2014 and is a historian and economist by background. He attended the University of Cape Town and later the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar.
