About

Zvi Jagendorf was born in Vienna in 1936 and got to England in 1939, Studied English Literature at Oxford and came to Jerusalem in 1958 where he became Professor of English and Theatre at the Hebrew University . He is the author of two novels "Wolfy and the Strudelbakers " (Dewi Lewis)which was on the Booker longlist and translated into Hebrew and German, and "Coming Soon the Flood"(Halban). He has been a radio journalist covering the Eichmann Trial and an actor. His stories have appeared in various magazines, Tikkun, Kenyon Review, Raritan etc.

Moving between childhood trauma, exile, and return, it weaves private vulnerability with inherited wounds, asking how violence, silence, and loss lodge themselves in the body—and how, if ever, they can be laid to rest.
