Ella Mendelow

Ella Mendelow is an alumna of Habonim Dror Southern Africa (HDSA) and a current master's

student in psychological research at the University of Cape Town. She joined Habonim in

2014 and remained deeply involved in the movement for a decade. Her journey included

attending end-of-year camps, serving as S’gan Rosh Bonim (2022) and Rosh Shomrim (2024),

and holding a seat on the Hanhaggah as Rosh Publications in 2023. In 2024, Ella was

selected as part of the Habonim youth delegation for the Kaleidoscope Israel Program and is

currently an editor for the Kaleidoscope Magazine. Habonim has played a formative role in

her life, shaping her worldview in lasting ways. Though no longer an active member of

HDSA, its influence remains deeply embedded in her perspective.
