About
Leon G Fine is Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He is a bibliophile and book collector and an elected member of the Grolier Club in New York and the International Association of Bibliophiles in Paris. He was a member of Habonim in Cape Town in the 1960s and a graduate of the University of Cape Town Medical School. He made Aliya in 1967 and received his postgraduate training at the Tel Hashomer Hospital. After serving in the IDF as a medical officer, in 1972 he departed for the US to pursue his studies. His career has spanned academic appointments in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and London.
